Important Dates and Announcements
The gifted testing department screens all fifth graders and first graders. Based on screening results, some students continue in the testing process.
Students in grades 2-4 are welcome to test as well. Please refer to the dates posted here for deadlines. Gifted referral forms can be obtained online at the VBCPS website or via Mrs. Darnell. Be sure to contact your classroom teacher as well as she completes a referral form also.

The Office of Gifted Education's newsletter, the Gifted and Talented Bulletin, is an electronic publication. We appreciate the support of our subscribers as we continue to "go green". If you haven't signed up, it's easy! Click on the blue button on the top right Gifted and Talented menu bar on our VBCPS home
page (http://www.vbschools.com). Look for the section titled vbschools x-tra and scroll down to find the
newsletter subscription area. Look for the Gifted and Talented Bulletin and subscribe. Once signed up, notification will be emailed to you announcing the posting of the latest issue. Archived issues are also available through this link. Mailed versions of the most current issue are available upon request by
contacting the Office of Gifted Education at 263-1405.
